I,m sure this has been discussed before but could someone tell me how the LT50 is restricted. Mine has nothing in the exhaust or the inlet,it does have 2 pilot jets on top of each other. I thought i read somewhere that one of these needs to be removed??? The main jet is a 57.5 i think (very small numbers)

Thanks a lot

Ian

the 1 way i now how to derestrict those is that theres a screw bolt thing on the thumb throttle which makes the throttle open less when you push the lever so if you unscrew that bolt that might help. cheers hope it works or you can drop a 250r engine in it that will be perfect 4 a 6 yr old :D lol.

hi ian

the only way lt50's are restricted is by obstruction .
there are two ,1 in the inlet manifold where it bolts to the head ,undo the carb clamp screw then remove the manifold itself ,you will see a round steel insert with a (very small) slot in it , you need to get that out but it can be a pain .
the other 1 is in the head and is also an insert so just remove the exhaust manifold and pull that out , job done
as for jetting, unless your porting etc dont bother ,the standard main jet is a bit rich as standard and just removing the restrictions makes a big difference :D [/u]
